The Team
Paul Optometrist / Director
Paul has an impressive 27 years of experience in eyecare. He co-founded Rototuna Optometrists with two other optometrists. Known for his thorough examinations, Paul has a wealth of knowledge.
He is passionate about helping people and providing the best care for their eyes. He enjoys cycling, fishing, family time and loves a good brai (bbq)
Jason Optometrist
Jason has been with us for two years. He has an outstanding academic record, including first-class honours and the prestigious Peg-Wood Prize for Most Outstanding Undergraduate Student in Clinical Optometry.
He has earned himself a SUNY scholarship (he will attend this year in New York). Jason's passion is ortho-k and myopia control. He shares his time between Rototuna and Rose Optometry.
Nicky Practice Manager
Nicky has been with Rototuna for 14 years, initially starting as an optical assistant. She quickly moved into a management role. It's her second home. She is a jack of all trades and knows the business inside out. Most of her time is spent behind the scenes but you may find her out the front helping staff and patients when needed.
Mum to a son (9), 2 poodles and a cat. She is a passionate soccer mum and volunteers her time to assist with team management when required.
Emma Patient Coordinator
Emma is our lens specialist, currently studying to qualify as a Dispensing Optician.She has been with Rototuna for 7 years. Emma knows her stuff! She loves a challenge when it comes to high prescriptions and ensuring the best outcome for our patients. She also manages our ancillary testing, Visual Fields and OCT’s
Beyond eye care, Emma enjoys walks and the company of her feline friend, Felix. Her commitment to our practice and genuine care for our patients make Emma an integral part of our team.
Jamie Optical Assistant
Jamie is our vibrant Customer services/Optical assistant superstar.
She has three years of experience in optics (one with us). She is an invaluable member of our team.
Her commitment and dedication to Rototuna Optometrists and her patients is a rarity. Jamie has a lively 3-year-old with her fiancé who is a dedicated farmer. She loves rural life and quality time on the farm.
